Bacon and Egg Chronicles: The Roma Bar

Bacon and Egg Sandwich from the Roma Bar

It's that time of the week again where I treat myself to something a little greasy on Friday morning. Yes indeed, it's time for a B&E!

This morning I ventured into The Roma Bar which I literally walk past every day, but have probably only gone in there a few times in the past few years. Reason for that being it isn't cheap. It's all well and good if you are dining in, in which case you're paying for the dining experience, but for a take away meal it's not very economical. However for the sake of food journalism, I will let my wallet take a hit on this occasion.

For $6.90, this little puppy contains the usual one egg and a couple of slices of some crispy cooked bacon - just how I like it. Strangely though I got multi-grain bread... If I wanted that I would have asked. I was under the impression that any form of sandwich comes with white bread by default.

Overall a good B&E, but compared to the $5.80 dual egg beast from Mocha and the $6 champ from The Gourmet Deli, the offering from The Roma Bar isn't quite worth the price.
