Yummy Noodle - it's yummy.

Char kway teow from Yummy Noodle

If McDonalds is known for fast burgers, then Yummy Noodle is the noodle equivalent. Except their product tastes a whole lot better. You walk in, you order and by the time you sit down your noodles are cooked and ready to be taken away. Well ok not that fast, but it's usually less than a 5 minute wait even if its busy. They've seriously got their noodle production line in great shape which is quite an achievement given that they actually have to cook the stuff, as opposed to inserting some vegetables and a meat patty into a bun. It probably helps that they have fusion powered bunsen burners heating up the woks, I seriously want one in my kitchen.

Out of the 50 odd dishes on their menu board, I usually go for number 12 - char kway teow, which roughly translated into English means "OMG friggin bloody delicious". If that doesn't sound like your cup o' tea, there's a flavour on the menu to suit everyone, and with those giant spoons of theirs, I'm sure the chefs put plenty of sugar and salt into each dish to maximise the taste and the calories. I'm not sure I agree with the use of "healthy" on their advertising pamphlets, but you could do a lot worse I guess. Like KFC.

You can find Yummy Noodle at the far end of Smith Street in between Dominos and Uncle Sams, at Casuarina Village and also somewhere in a place called Palmerston.
