The Chook Shed. Lots of chicken.

For a place in the middle of nowhere, The Chook Shed in Frances Bay, Stuart Park, has a million customers going through the doors at lunch. If I were in charge of Darwin City Council, I'd get some parking meters installed out the front of the premises pronto with a meter maid dressed in a chicken costume for good measure. I digress.
There's plenty of Red Rooster style roast chicken and chips as well as burgers, salads for the health conscious and battered/grilled fish. I've had their chicken before and it's as good as any chook going around.
Today I was passing by on my lonesome so I got a ready made Chicken BLT burger to go. The grilled fillet was nice as was the mayo but the bacon I could do without as it was too salty. I reckon a BLT would be better without the B, but then I probably should have gotten the Fillet Burger in the first place (couldn't be bothered waiting the two minutes it would have taken for it to be made - time is money and I was running late).
The service is lightning and frantic with half a billion people running around behind the counter taking orders and flippin' fillets on the grill, I'm surprised they don't run into each other and start fights in such a small space. It's nice to see such a small place putting an effort into customer service, something I'm sure all their customers appreciate and come back for.
