Mitchelli's Pizza Cafe

A damn big pizza from Mitchelli's Pizza Café

The fellas at work and I stayed back for a round of Talisman today. It's a role playing board game where you each play as a character and take turns rolling the dice to go around the board kicking ass and picking up various powerups. It might sound a bit nerdy but it's rather fun and don't knock it till you try it I say!

Before diving in though, we needed to be fed after a long day of writing code and making sexy websites. It seemed only a giant meaty pizza could feed 3 hungry and handsome website developers and so we put in a call to Mitchelli's Pizza Café located on Mitchell Street. The order was placed at about 5.30 and by the time I got there 15 minutes later it was literally fresh out of the oven and into the box. Mama Mia! Nice and quick – just how I like it.

The pizza was packed to the edges with a truck load of all the bits that make a pizza tasty. The base was notably good with a nice crunch to it and too not oily either. And it's big. We got the $28 megasaurus one which equates to the size of a car tyre. A Dominio's pizza I can demolish, but 2 and 1/3 pieces of this monstrous beast and I was defeated. Mitchelli's Pizza Café often comes up in who does the best pizza in Darwin arguments. I don't know if it is the best, but its damn good and I could see the other two, men of few words, nodding emphatically in between chews. It would be a close call between here and Pizza King at Hibiscus Shopping Town in Leanyer in my humblest of opinions.

Board game - Talisman

And as for Talisman, Lady Luck was noticeably absent tonight and I lost miserably to the other guys. But I guess that means I have a good excuse to organise another round to get my revenge and fill of pizza.
