It only recently occurred to me that I haven't given these guys a proper review yet. Especially weird considering it's one of my go to cafés for a breakkie BLT, bacon and egg toastie or for a quick lunch. The ladies in the kitchen do a fantastic job and always get your order cooking faster than you can say "light rye bread please". I never have to wait too long for my food or coffee, which is why I go here if I have a mad day at work and only have limited time for energy replenishment. They also happen to use various varieties of Helga's bread, which is surely the finest commercially made bread ever.
The bacon lettuc tomato toasted sandwich is probably my favourite of all the ones I've tried so far in the Darwin CBD. They use cos lettuce and the home style mayo is really nice without being too much. The bacon and egg toastie is also in the top three of all time in my
There is some indoor and outdoor seating available, but most people seem to grab and go - probably as the decor is not really all that cosy and inviting. It's a bit industrial meets chic with high tables, stools and lots of grey concrete tones. That doesn't bother me though as the food is always top notch.
